Oh Isabella

Isabella was being too quite in her room so I went to check on her, and this is what I found.

Playing Video Games

The girls enjoyed playing on the motorcycle video game.

Roller Skating

Our church sponsored all the kids to go to the skating rink on Saturday morning for some fun, food, skating. The girls were all excited to go, but did not last too long on the skates. The workers did tighten up the wheels so they would not go fast. They didn't do too bad.

Alessandra allowed one of the kids who worked at the skating rink to take her around.

Isabella's famous words - "Let me do it." She had to do it all on her own.

Metal Detecting

So, Billy loves to metal detect. He will often take his detector in his car when he goes to work so if he has a few minutes, he will stop and play. Well, I get a phone call from Billy that is strange. He said in a panic tone of voice that he wants me to have 2 beach towels and a very wet hand towel ready for him when he gets home in a few minutes. He would not tell me why. I waited on the front porch for him, not knowing what to expect when he opens up his car door. He pulls in the driveway and right up to the front porch. I am waiting in expectation. He opens the car door and the sight I saw almost made me pee my pants (easy to do when you are 6 months pregnant) from laughter. I first saw his hand that was caked with mud...I wondered, could there be more? Ohhh YES, LOTS MORE. He was in his nursing scrubs and was caked with more mud - from his waist to his feet and you could not even tell the color of his sneakers...what a sight. I could not help but laugh. I tried to get the camera, but Billy just started stripping his clothes off on the porch before I had a chance to get the camera. Then, he tells me what happened... He found a huge dirt pile and decided to check it out. He saw a wet spot on top and just barely stepped on the outside of it thinking it was just a puddle in the mound. Wrong - he fell into a hole!!!!! He said he could not believe how deep the hole was and did not know if he was ever going to stop falling. Once he got his composure from the fall, he tried to crawl up out of the hole hoping no one would see what was happening. He said he got to his car so fast to avoid embarrassment and headed home. Alessandra won't stop talking about Daddy falling into a hole, how muddy he was, and how funny he looked. A moment none of us will ever forget!

Isabella

Alessandra and Isabella love standing on this table. When Isabella is up here, she will use it as a stage for her 'singing' (I think that is what she is trying to do). Occasionally she will share her stage with her sister.

Let's go to the beach!!!!!

We went to the beach for the day on Saturday. We all had lots of fun. The girls just enjoy the ocean so much. They are not afraid of the water at all. Their heads even went under the water a few times and it did not bother them. It was great to get a family picture at the beach. The sun did not come out all day, but we all got some sun on our arms. The girls were watching some older girls play with boogie boards and desperately wanted to try. The girls left our girls borrow them and Alessandra was actually riding one with Daddy's help. She had lots of fun on it. Isabella could not balance herself on one. So, when we left the beach, the girls fell asleep in the van and I went into a store and got them each a boogie board. One looks like Nemo and the other looks like Lovelace from Happy Feet. We did not use them yet, but the next time we go to the beach, we will have more toys to take along. This was probably the best time we had...neither girls whined on the beach and it was lots of fun. The only part Billy did not like was having to drive home. He really wanted to stay the night. I think we will go again in 2 weeks when we can use that beach house that we used back in April. We couldn't use it this time because it was already being used. We also purchased 2 umbrellas really cheap so when we go again, we have shade from the sun. Soon, it won't be an easy trip with all the stuff to pack! Do you know, the girls actually slept in the next morning too...now, these girls never slept in before so it was great to get up at 9 am instead of 6:30 am!!!!
It's hard to get Isabella to stop and look at the camera. She is always moving.
Alessandra was posing for the camera. With the humidity at the beach, her hair got so curly. I don't think I have ever seen her hair have locks all over, but it was really pretty.
Daddy and his babies

Alessandra enjoyed just sitting and taking her hands through the went sand.
Isabella enjoying the water!
Alessandra wanted to get buried in the sand. She saw some other girls burring each other and wanted to do the same thing too.

Alessandra giving Isabella a ride

Alessandra is giving Isabella a ride. It is nice they are finally playing nicely together instead of hitting, kicking, or pushing each other.

Tired Girls

This morning we went outside and they were playing in the pool for a few hours. They also helped me to wash the van. I think they got more soap on themselves then the van! So, you would think they took a great nap today, right? Wrong!!!!! They each slept for less then 1 hour. Oh talk about miserable children. All they have been doing, besides whining, is picking on each other, hitting each other, being mean in all aspects to each other. Billy is working late tonight, so they both might be in bed before he gets home. Where do they get this energy??? I wish I had some more!!!!

VBS Pictures

The girls went to VBS at our church in June. They had lots of fun.

Zandra was the teacher for the 2-4 year olds. She did a great job with all the kids. Her two daughters also helped to keep all the kids together.

Poor Bucky...

Today we had an awful storm. I was home by myself because Billy was working and I knew my patience level today...Alessandra afraid of thunder, Bucky afraid of thunder, and Isabella who laughs at the thunder, and Mommy home alone with all of them. So, I gave Bucky his sedative. You know the one that we gave him when we drove to SC. This is where he chose to stay...under the desk chair. He would not even move as I am writing this. At least he was not under my feet the whole time I am trying to comfort Alessandra.

This HUGE Bug!!!!!!

So, one night Billy went metal detecting in a field and came home with this!!!! Yes, it is dead, but how scary. He said if he ever sees one alive, he will move back to PA and fight the cold instead of fighting a bug like this one. Do you see that pincher?!?!

Grammy and PopPop

Grammy and PopPop came to visit and we had lots of fun with them. The girls are eatting up the camera.

PopPop is trying to warm Isabella up after playing in the pool.

Pool Time

The pool is now blown up. The girls had a blast the other day in the pool. They are daring as you can see. They climb on the side of the pool, stand, then jump backwards into the pool. They both were getting their faces went AND going under the water. Ohhh, it was good PopPop was right there while they were playing. They are not afarid of the water! I loaded the kids up with sun block and Isabella got a tan in just a short hour of playing.

Isabella

Isabella is growing up too fast. She is not our 'baby' anymore. She is talking like you would not believe. Just give her some time to warm up to you and she will just keep chatting away.

Sleepy Girls

These pictures were taken when both the girls were sick. They did not want to sleep in their rooms for naps, so we let them out on the sofa.
