Alessandra's New Outfit

Grammy and PopPop got Alessandra a new outfit. Alessandra enjoyed helping Isabella open her presents...it got a little hairy at one point!

Happy 2nd Birthday Isabella!!!!

It's a Ball!!!! Isabella loves balls. She picked this ball out when we went shopping today. She loves balls.
Isabella enjoys her cards. She will carry them where ever she goes.
An outfit from Grammy and PopPop. She also loves her big cardboard blocks. She will build towers and then have more fun knocking them over!!!
New shoes from MomMom and PopPop. I took her to try on the shoes. I left them on her and we went into another store. At the other store, she was telling everyone it was her birthday and she had new shoes. She also got a doll from her Aunt Mandi, Uncle Tom, and Kelly. She loves her dolls!!!

How Much Can She Carry???

Isabella loves carrying around bags. She will fill them up with toys, shoes, sippy cups, and anything else she can get her hands on. I wonder just how much can this 2 yr old carry?

Baby Boy...

So, we finally decided on a first name for the baby...Demetri. We still did not decide on a middle name, but it will come. Alessandra can say Demetri, but Isabella will only say Tri. Isabella is finally taking an interest in the baby in Mommy's belly. She is pointing to my belly saying "baby". She has also taken a special interest in the baby dolls around the house. She will hold her baby, wrap her baby in a blanket, and put her baby's head on a pillow. She has been carrying her babies around the house and fighting Alessandra for the babies. Alessandra loves to feel her baby brother move and gets all excited when she feels him move. She talks often about the arrival of her brother and that she cannot wait to see him so she can play with him. I keep reminding her that he won't play much when he gets here, but when he gets older he will love to play with her. She sang her brother a lullaby and Jesus loves you the other day.

First Day Back to Mother's Morning Out

Today was the first day back at Mother's Morning Out...Yeah!!!! The girls were really excited to start back. When we got to the church, Isabella saw one of her friends and started screaming with excitement. Isabella actually let her pony tail in too. She saw Mommy fixing Alessandra's hair then came over to me to fix her hair. This is the first time Isabella stood still so I could fix her hair. In the past when I tried to comb her hair she tells me "No" and rubs her hands through her hair to mess it up.

Oh Isabella

Isabella was being too quite in her room so I went to check on her, and this is what I found.

Playing Video Games

The girls enjoyed playing on the motorcycle video game.

Roller Skating

Our church sponsored all the kids to go to the skating rink on Saturday morning for some fun, food, skating. The girls were all excited to go, but did not last too long on the skates. The workers did tighten up the wheels so they would not go fast. They didn't do too bad.

Alessandra allowed one of the kids who worked at the skating rink to take her around.

Isabella's famous words - "Let me do it." She had to do it all on her own.

Metal Detecting

So, Billy loves to metal detect. He will often take his detector in his car when he goes to work so if he has a few minutes, he will stop and play. Well, I get a phone call from Billy that is strange. He said in a panic tone of voice that he wants me to have 2 beach towels and a very wet hand towel ready for him when he gets home in a few minutes. He would not tell me why. I waited on the front porch for him, not knowing what to expect when he opens up his car door. He pulls in the driveway and right up to the front porch. I am waiting in expectation. He opens the car door and the sight I saw almost made me pee my pants (easy to do when you are 6 months pregnant) from laughter. I first saw his hand that was caked with mud...I wondered, could there be more? Ohhh YES, LOTS MORE. He was in his nursing scrubs and was caked with more mud - from his waist to his feet and you could not even tell the color of his sneakers...what a sight. I could not help but laugh. I tried to get the camera, but Billy just started stripping his clothes off on the porch before I had a chance to get the camera. Then, he tells me what happened... He found a huge dirt pile and decided to check it out. He saw a wet spot on top and just barely stepped on the outside of it thinking it was just a puddle in the mound. Wrong - he fell into a hole!!!!! He said he could not believe how deep the hole was and did not know if he was ever going to stop falling. Once he got his composure from the fall, he tried to crawl up out of the hole hoping no one would see what was happening. He said he got to his car so fast to avoid embarrassment and headed home. Alessandra won't stop talking about Daddy falling into a hole, how muddy he was, and how funny he looked. A moment none of us will ever forget!
