Our Snake Adventure
We took the kids to a park in town and saw this snake starting to eat a toad. What a sight... The snake left go of the toad and started to slither away. Billy was convinced it was poisonous...99.9% sure it was poisonous. So, Billy chased the snake, pinned it down with his metal detector, and chopped it with his digging tool. Later in the evening we looked the snake up on the Internet and were absolutely sure it was a Timber Rattlesnake and this was a baby - not old enough for a rattle yet. I just had to go back to the park to get a picture. We then compared the picture I took to the Timber Rattlesnake and they looked nothing alike. Billy protected his family from the ferocious Gardner snake.
