Santa Claus is Comin' to Town

Santa came to Mother's Morning Out. The girls were first afraid of him, then I was able to get them close as long as I was holding them. The other kids really liked Santa and loved sitting by his feet.

Mother's Morning Out Christmas Party

They had a Christmas Party and Santa came to visit. Here the girls are with some of their friends.

Playing Outside

Can you believe the weather? This picture was taken on 12/13 and we were outside with short sleeves and without jackets. (I was acutally wearing shorts!) It got up in the 80s several times this week! It will be nice to have a little cooler weather for Christmas. I remember last year Christmas Eve during the day down here I was wearing capries. Today is 12/16 and it is now getting cooler, but not as cold as PA. As you
can see, Isabella loves to play in the sand box. This is the place she goes almost everytime she goes outside. Alessandra on the other hand loves her swings. Isabella won't sit long enough to swing. The little tricycle here, the girls take turns pushing each other on it...or I should say, Mommy or Daddy pushes Alessandra and Alessandra pushes
Isabella. Isabella just tries to do everything her big sister is doing and Alessandra tries to do everyting her Mommy and Daddy do.

Christmas Pictures

Alessandra did not want to get a picture next to her sister this year for a Christmas card so I had to get them individually. They are adorable pictures, but would have been better if both were in 1. Christmas cards will be late this year. The earliest they will be done is 12/21, the day we drive up, so if any of you are reading this, your card will

be hand delivered in PA or a little late in the mail. Better late than never!!!!

Sunset

Billy took some great pictures of a sunset. It was a beautiful evening. The past few days have be beautiful - it actually got up into the 80s the past 3 days. The girls have been having fun playing outside in their shorts! All is supposed to change this weekend. We are getting spoiled with the warm weather.

It is going to feel so cold when we make the trip to PA, but it will feel more like Christmas with the cooler weather.

I talked to Alessandra about going to PA next week and she was all excited to see everyone. Isabella will show her excitement once we are there.

Christmas Party

Billy and I went to a Christmas Party hosted by his employer. We had a awesome time!!! The food was wonderful, jazz band awesome, and my date was the best!!!! We usually do not stay out too late, but this night we did not get home till midnight. Dr Orbeck really treated all of us well.

Decorating the Tree

We put up the tree. Alessandra helped to decorate the tree. Isabella was in bed while we were doing the decorating. When Isabella saw the tree, she got so excited and started to pull the decorations off the tree. So, I should have taken a picture of the tree before Isabella saw it. I tried to help Alessandra put some decorations on the tree, but she said "No Mommy, Let me do it" After she went to bed, I moved some
of the ornaments around.
I have been wanting to take a picture of the girls in front of the tree, but Isabella is still too facinated and won't let the tree alone!

Fireworks!

Alessandra asked for fireworks when she knew Grammy and PopPop were coming...Isabella was not too happy about them this time. She got scared and had to be taken into the house away from the noise.

The girls enjoy cuddle time with Grammy and PopPop.

Caught in the Act

Alessandra loves getting into the cabinet...Yes, this cabinet is for the girls. It is the only kitchen cabinet they are allowed in. It has a few plastic dishes in for them. Their favorite activity is taking all the dishes out of the cabinet and taking turns sitting in the cabinet.

Early Christmas Present

When Grammy and PopPop came to visit, they brought a Christmas present for the girls to share (the key word is share). A kitchen to cook in. Maybe they will stay out of Mommy's way when Mommy is cooking!

Dress Up Time

Alessandra, Isabella, and their friends dressed up the past few days. They dressed up on Monday for Mother's Morning Out and on Tuesday for Story Time. Alessandra enjoyed being Tinker Bell and Isabella did not care that she was Piglet as long as I did not put the hood on her head!

A Story About Isabella

Our little Isabella. She is unbelievable! Yesterday, I was showing Alessandra some snails. Alessandra was enjoying picking them up and holding them. Billy and I left the kids get wet in the rain and as they were playing, Billy looked at Isabella and noticed she was chewing on something. (Isabella puts everything in her mouth) Anyway, in her hand was a shell, yes, just a shell of a snail. So, you can guess what she was chewing on... You got it! Yes, a snail!!!! As Billy was trying to get the mush out of her mouth, he had to pound on her back because she was choking on the slime. She was still gripping the shell in her hand! She did not seem to mind the taste of the snail, but she was mad that Daddy was getting it out of her mouth!

Picture Time

Can you believe Alessandra took this picture of me? She loves using the camera, but she does not always aim right - there are plenty of pictures of the floor and random things, but she actually got me.

Frog Anyone?

Alessandra loves looking for frogs. One evening we had about 5 frogs hopping around. Alessandra loved it! She loves chasing the frogs to pick them up. The frogs did hop away once she left them go, but who knows how long they lived afterwards!


She still does not always want to give up that nukie! One day, they just might find their way into the trash can!
